1. Omission of 这儿/這兒 / 这里/這裡 and 那儿/那兒 / 那里/那裡
Learners might omit 这儿/這兒 and 那儿/那兒 which should be used when the place is expressed by a personal pronoun or a noun representing a person or thing.
*我们现在在老师。
我们现在在老师这儿。
*我們現在在老師。
我們現在在老師這兒。
*从我到他很近。
从我这儿到他那儿很近。
*從我到他很近。
從我這兒到他那兒很近。
2. Omission of 的
Leaners might omit 的 when a demonstrative pronoun modifies a noun as an attributive.
*那儿人特别客气。
那儿的人特别客气。
*那兒人特別客氣。
那兒的人特別客氣。
*我们对这里情况不怎么满意。
我们对这里的情况不怎么满意。
*我們對這裡情況不怎麼滿意。
我們對這裡的情況不怎麼滿意。
3. Confusion among 这儿/這兒 / 这里/這裡 and 那儿/那兒 / 那里/那裡
Learners might use incorrect demonstrative pronoun when not paying attention to the distance of the place from the speaker (close/distant).
*现在我们都在我那儿。
现在我们都在我这儿。
*現在我們都在我那兒。
現在我們都在我這兒。
*我去年去过台湾，这里的夏天很热。
我去年去过台湾，那里的夏天很热。
*我去年去過臺灣，這裡的夏天很熱。
